The Next Step. Week Two. What Do You ‘Consume’?

The Next Step. On-Line Interactive Wellbeing Program

Last week we talked about, and spent the week increasing, awareness. This week we continue the theme, and we’re providing you with simple suggestions and tools to create an internal environment that supports change and enhances vitality.

Have you ever stopped to think about what you CONSUME on a daily basis? When we say ‘consume’, what comes to mind? Is it just what you eat? Or do you consider everything you hear, see, feel and interact with on a daily basis. We discuss this somewhat at PutYourHandUp:

You are NOT your body, or your emotions, or your mind. You are something bigger. You are, and are connected to, Spirit.

Therefore, when we discuss consumption, we consider what we are consuming through ALL our bodies – for the purposes of this discussion, let’s break it down to three:

  1. The Physical Body
  2. The Subtle Bodies, and
  3. The Causal Body

I want to talk about each briefly in turn.

The Physical Body

Your physical body is the representation of your relationship with all bodies. It is a process or activity. It is constantly in change and transformation. The easiest way to understand this is to look at how your body has changed since you were born. Your body is not the same as it was 10 years ago, or when you were a teenager, or when you were a toddler, or when you were a baby. Your body is a process!

When you understand your body is a process, you can engage in the most important activities to assist the efficiency of this process:

Sleep – regenerates the body

Meditation – science has shown this activity changes the regulation of genes, which control ageing and the inflammatory response. This is significant because an inflammatory response that is at dis-ease, or disharmony, can create physical dis-ease.

Movement – whatever works for you. The type of movement is not as important as the fact that you actually MOVE.

Emotional wellbeing – when you experience high vibratory emotional responses they create limbic resonance. You create responses that enhance healing and self-repair.

Diet – plant based, minimal sugar and processed foods

Our simple guide for diet includes … “Eat a variety of fresh, and freshly prepared, foods, and maximise plant-based foods”.

There are some fantastic recipe books out there, which can assist you to create healthy meals with ingredients you haven’t used before. Experiment with tastes and always create what you like. is a great starting point if you are learning how to create healthy meals for yourself. For example, have a look in your pantry and refrigerator, and have a look what’s there. Maybe you have some pumpkin, some parsley, some cheese and some eggs. Put these ingredients into the search bar of, and voila! You will find some recipes that assist you create a healthy meal for you and your family.

We believe there are two golden rules when you’re learning this stuff:

  1. Minimise processed sugar. If you want to know why, watch ‘That Sugar Film’. It’s a great film, that puts it into basic speak, and clearly demonstrates how everyday, ‘healthy’ foods you buy in the supermarket are laced with hidden sugars which not only make you fat, but contribute to a myriad of dis-ease in your physical body.
  1. Prepare your foods from fresh, not packet. This rule comes from rule 1 – the hidden sugars in packets. When you prepare fresh food you raise the vitality of your body. You nourish your body more wholely when you prepare with whole, fresh foods.

Lastly, consider not only the foods you put in, but products you use around the home – your skin is the largest organ of your body, and its permeability means it can readily absorb toxins from the environment.

Our recommendation: remove synthetic chemicals from your home. For every chemical product in your home, there is a simple remedy from nature, which can replace it. Consider that what you use in your environment is also what you use within. Because you are one and the same.

The Subtle Bodies

Your Subtle Bodies are your emotions and your thoughts (your mind).

“The mind and emotions directly affect gene activity, and since the mind is the source of a person’s lifestyle and behavior, it directs one’s biological transformations. Self-awareness holds the key to this process of self-transformation. Consciousness is invisibly reaching into the biochemistry of every moment of life. In your body, as in every cell, regulation is holistic, self-generated, self-organizing, and self-directed in concert with consciousness.”     – Deepak Chopra

When we consider the factors that influence the energy centres, we look at ‘The Glasses’ and ‘The Bucket’.

We will talk more about these two aspects of subtle body health in the next session. The most important thing to remember is that your thoughts affect your emotions, which in turn affect your thoughts – remember the Reality Cycle? If not, we will remind you again in week four.

The Causal Body

Your Causal Body is the environment that exists ‘outside’ of the physical and subtle bodies, which influences the health of our individual presence.

So how far does it extend?

That depends on how far you are prepared to extend your belief system …

In Ayurvedic philosophy (the ancient Hindu philosophy of healing) the environment is not just an extension of the body, it IS the body. It is an important part of the body. So when something appears in the physical body, the environment is considered a CAUSAL factor.

For the purposes of this program, we’ll keep it simple, to give you a starting idea.

When we look at the world today, we can easily see this environment as that which surrounds us on a daily basis. We are bombarded by situations, people, electromagnetic activity every day.

We hear of social media bullying, radiation emissions, the dangers of mobile phones, television, radio … the list goes on.

When we know this causal body affects our physical health, because it IS our body, we can begin to find ways to ‘consume’ less of these energies in our life.

The human body vibrating within its normal vibratory range between 62 and 68 MHz is considered in a state of health.

The more we are exposed to many of these emissions / radiations / frequencies, the more they affect the vibration of our physical body, creating a level of ‘stress’, which is simply our physical and subtle bodies’ inability to cope with the level of dis-harmony in our environment.

The normally harmonious coherent frequencies of the body easily go OUT OF “TUNE” when a person experiences physical or emotional stress.

Physical or emotional stress disrupt the natural flow of energy within our body, creating dis-EASE within our Physical body, because its rhythm is ‘out of tune’ with universal rhythm, because there is so much disturbance in the environment (Causal Body).

A blockage of the flow of life energy – characterised by inflammation, irritation and illness – can result. When the human frequency range drops below the norm of 62 megahertz, this is when abnormal processes can begin to develop.

When disease and illness are present, they may manifest as chemical imbalances. But underlying this is an electromagnetic imbalance that has altered the specific vibrational frequencies of molecules, cells, tissues and organs within the body.

Properly “retuning” the body to its original frequency brings it into balance and restores its natural harmonic resonance – illness either doesn’t manifest or is resolved.

This is why alternative and complementary methods of healing work. At a subtle level, they help the body retune itself to its natural vibration. As your body’s vibration retunes, your Vitality – sense of wellbeing – improves.

This week:

Begin to implement small rituals to cleanse your Body, and raise your vibration and vitality. Later on, we will take you through a more detailed cleanse and detoxification process, so when you begin to implement these practices now, it makes the next step easier J. Here is what we suggest:

  1. Squeeze half a lemon into around 500mL of lukewarm water each morning and drink as soon as you get up. Lemon activates your digestive processes, cleanses your liver, and water hydrates you for the day.

  1. Buy some aloe vera juice from a health food store and drink once daily, according to the dosage on the bottle. Aloe vera juice has been long recognized for its cleansing properties. It is a blood cleanser and it activates the digestive system and elimination.

  1. Begin to notice what you’re eating. Do you eat mostly fresh, or packaged foods? What is one thing you can do to eat more fresh, whole foods?

  1. Notice how much television you watch. Do you find yourself reading / watching / hearing a lot of negativity during the day? If so, what is one thing you can do to reduce your exposure to this negative vibration?

Just like last week, the more you implement these practices, the more you notice change in your life. We trust you’re allowing yourself to notice the positive changes, so you can confirm new beliefs about you!

Until next week …

Man hugs and Big Love
